Interiors of a guild master’s house and weaving workshop
Reconstruction of the interiors of the home and weaving workshop owned by a guild master – representative of the highest guild authorities. The arrangement shows the home as it would have looked at the turn of the 20th century, when handmade crafts were being rapidly displaced by mechanical equipment developed in the mid-19th century.
From broadcloth to silk
The exhibition boasts examples of all types of folk garments gathered since the second half of the 1950s in the ethnographic collections. They used to be worn in the interwar period in the areas located close to Bielsko and Biała as well as in some more distant parts.
